Extended-Fault Diameter of Mesh Networks
نویسنده
چکیده
The diameter of a network in the presence of faulty nodes is an important indicator of its resilience. Certain popular topologies have been shown to possess fault diameters that are only one unit greater than those of the corresponding fault1ree networks, provided that the number of faults is strictly less than the network's connectivity. Examples of such robust networks include hypercubes, m-ary q-cubes, cubeconnected cycles, and star graphs. We derive the extended-fault diameter of mo x ml x ... x mq-l mesh networks. Mesh networks, which play an important role in the implementation of parallel processors are not node-symmetric (even when all the mi are equal) and thus do not easily lend themselves to theoretical analyses; hence, the fault diameter of meshes has not been previously dealt with. Furthermore, we do not require the number of faults to be less than the network's connectivity, as has been done in previous studies. Such a requirement would limit the number of faulty nodes to 1 in the case of 2D meshes, which is unduly restrictive. Hence, our motivation to define and study a network's extended1ault diameter.

Combinatorial Properties of Circulant Networks
We have extended our work in [1] and this paper investigates combinatorial properties of circulant networks including best containers, wide diameter, fault diameter and Rabin number. These properties have received much attention recently in the study of interconnection networks. In addition to these parameters we introduce fault wide diameter and study this parameter for circulant networks.
متن کاملA Self-Reconstructing Algorithm for Single and Multiple-Sensor Fault Isolation Based on Auto-Associative Neural Networks
Recently different approaches have been developed in the field of sensor fault diagnostics based on Auto-Associative Neural Network (AANN). In this paper we present a novel algorithm called Self reconstructing Auto-Associative Neural Network (S-AANN) which is able to detect and isolate single faulty sensor via reconstruction. We have also extended the algorithm to be applicable in multiple faul...

A Midimew-connected Mesh Network (MMN) is a minimal distance mesh with wrap-around links network of multiple basic modules (BMs), in which the BMs are 2D-mesh networks that are hierarchically interconnected for higher-level networks. In this paper, we present the architecture of the MMN, addressing of node, routing of message, and evaluate the static network performance of MMN, TESH, mesh and t...

In some statistical process control applications, the process data are not Normally distributed and characterized by the combination of both variable and attributes quality characteristics. Despite different methods which are proposed separately for monitoring multivariate and multi-attribute processes, only few methods are available in the literature for monitoring multivariate-attribute proce...
